About The Event
On Friday, September 19th, FAFO and our partners will travel to Washington, D.C. to stand with veterans who are leading a peaceful sit-in. These veterans are raising their voices against the use of military force in our communities, and we will be there to show them respect, solidarity, and support.
We will also gather to greet participants in the We Are America March, who will have walked 160 miles from Philadelphia carrying the U.S. Constitution to Congress!
Why We’re Going
Veterans have already given so much in service to this country. Now, they are stepping up once again to call for peace, accountability, and the protection of our democracy. By joining them, we send a message that we stand with those who defend our freedoms — not with policies that turn military force inward on our own communities.
